Adaptaflex once again support Tommy's British Superbike Challenge

For the seventh year in succession, Adaptaflex is to sponsor Tommy Hill's challenge for the British Superbike Championship. Tommy, who came close to securing the championship in 2010 having led for the much of the season, is looking forward to the new season with relish:  “We get underway at Brands Hatch at the end of April and I am really looking forward to a successful 2011,” he says.

Adaptaflex, a world leader in electrical conduit systems, is delighted to be associated on a personal sponsorship level with Tommy and the company's distinctive red and white logo will adorn his leathers throughout the season.  There are twelve races at all the UK's leading circuits and the championship concludes with the three-race “Showdown” for the top six riders during September and October.

Tony Marston, Sales Director, Adaptaflex says:  “Tommy is a great professional and we wish him every success for the 2011 season.  He is a true ambassador for the sport and takes every opportunity to support and promote Adaptaflex at events, giving extra value to our brand.”

This season Tommy has switched to the Swan Yamaha team and this has given him real impetus for the new season as he lines up with teammate Michael Laverty.  “We'll be pushing each other to new heights but overall it is the consistency of performance that will be uppermost in my mind this year – and taking one race at a time.  I will, however, be particularly keen to do well at my home circuit of Brands Hatch and also at Oulton Park where I crashed last year.”

For Tommy, the sponsorship of Adaptaflex is very important as it makes a major contribution to on-going expenses In return, Tommy will be present a number of Adaptaflex events during 2011 and details will be announced over the coming weeks.

He says: “For my part, I am really pleased to support Adaptaflex.  I've got to know the company and its staff well over the last few years and I like the way they do business and present themselves.  I even got to demonstrate their new Adaptalok ATS conduit system in front of customers at the 2010 Infrarail exhibition - that was almost scarier than riding in front of 40000 fans at Brands Hatch!”

Tommy cites his all time favourite Superbike rider as Valentino Rossi:  “He is the full package, doing everything right so if I can get anywhere near that standard I will be absolutely delighted.” says Tommy. He also admires some of the great names of Motocross – McGrath, Carmichael and Emig – which was his first love when growing up.

Those who follow the BSB championship will be able to see Tommy in action on Eurosport and ITV throughout the season.  You will also be able to follow his progress on at www.tommyracer.com as well as on his Facebook and Twitter pages. If that is not enough, you can also grab a copy of the I Superbiker DVD that is now available and reviews the dramatic 2010 season.

Full details of the season's races are at www.britishsuperbike.com and there will be regular news from Adaptaflex on his progress.
